Diabasic Sodium Phosphate + Monobasic Sodium Phosphate is a combination of two inorganic salt. This medication is used as enema. It acts as a saline laxative when administered by the rectal route.
Diabasic Sodium Phosphate + Monobasic Sodium Phosphate is indicated for-
- Constipation
- Bowel cleaning
118 mL administered dose, once daily or as advised by a doctor. Additional liquids should be consumed by mouth. To avoid dehydration, encourage patients to consume plenty of clear liquids.
Patients with impaired renal function, pre-existing electrolyte problems, or who are taking diuretics that may impact electrolyte levels should use with caution. Those who are taking drugs that are known to lengthen the QT interval, With a colostomy, ascites.
Contraindication
Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any component of the medication.
