Benzocaine + Camphor + Methanol + Phenol is a combination drug that belongs to the class of topical analgesics. Benzocaine is a local anesthetic that works by numbing the area where it is applied. Camphor provides a cooling sensation, while methanol and phenol have antiseptic properties.
- Benzocaine + Camphor + Methanol + Phenol is indicated for the temporary relief of pain and itching associated with minor skin irritations, insect bites, sunburns, and minor cuts or scrapes.
- It may also be used to relieve the discomfort caused by sore throat, canker sores & hemorrhoids and minor rectal irritations.
Apply to the affected area 4-4 times daily.
Adverse reactions to Benzocaine + Camphor + Methanol + Phenol may include:
- Skin irritation, redness, or rash at the application site
- Allergic reactions, such as itching, swelling, or hives
- Burning or stinging sensation
- Dryness or cracking of the skin
- Methanol toxicity (rare, if ingested or absorbed in large amounts)
