Aspirin Immediate Release Tablet + Dipyridamole Extended Release Pellets

The combination of Aspirin and Dipyridamole belongs to the class of drugs known as platelet aggregation inhibitors. Aspirin inhibits the production of certain chemicals in the body that cause platelets to aggregate and form blood clots. Dipyridamole also helps to prevent platelet aggregation and acts as a vasodilator, expanding the blood vessels.

The combination is indicated for the secondary prevention of stroke in patients who have experienced transient ischemic attacks (TIAs) or completed ischemic stroke caused by thrombosis. It is also used in combination with other medications for the prevention of postoperative blood clot formation in patients who have undergone heart valve replacement surgery.
